Changsha’s underground transport system is among the youngest in the country. It was first put into operation in 2014. Currently, there are 2 lines in operation, but another 3 are being built, which should be finished by 2020. A network of 12 lines is planned for the future. The total length of the route is 50.2 km and is spread over a total of 43 stations.
Ticket price
The fare increases depending on the kilometers you exceed. For the first 6 km you will pay 2 yuan and for each additional 5 km you will pay an extra 1 yuan if you total 16 km, 1 yuan for every 7 km if you total 30 km, and 1 yuan for every 9 km if you travel more than 30 km. Line 1 – Red
First line starts in Kaifu District Government, Machang, Beichen Delta, Kaifu Temple, Wenchangge, Peiyuanqiao, Wuyi Square, Huang Xing Square, Nanmenkou, Houjiatang, Nanhu Road, Huangtuling, Tujiachong, Railway Campus (CSU), Youyi Road, Provincial Government, Guihuaping, Datuo, Zhongxin Square and the last one is Shangshuangtang.
Line 2 – Blue
